Two AGM-62 Walleye I guided weapons and one AN/AWG-16 data link pod in 1:48 as stores for aircraft models.
Responsibility details are not available.
The AGM-62 Walleye I is the first and the smaller of the two main versions of the American television-guided glide weapon. It has no propulsion of its own, although it carries the missile designation AGM: after release it glides on its momentum and steers only by the picture from a camera in its nose. The crew picks a prominent contrasting point on the target, the weapon locks onto it and watches the rest of the path by itself. The aircraft therefore does not have to stay over the target, which in the second half of the 1960s was a substantial change from bombs dropped from a dive.
The set carries two pieces of the Walleye I and one AN/AWG-16 data link pod, that is a pod with the equipment for the link between the aircraft and the released weapon. On a model these stores are worth attention: a pair of stubby bodies with short wings and with them a pod on another pylon give the underside of an aircraft an entirely different face from ordinary bombs.
Two weapons and one pod are supplied according to the list on the package. The aircraft kit, pylons, decals, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
