This set is a resin (3D printed) accessory in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian brand Reskit. It is not an aircraft model but a set of replacement landing gear wheels with a weighted effect: near the ground the tire bulges realistically, as if the mass of the machine bore down on it. The wheels replace the plastic parts of a Messerschmitt Bf 109K model.
The Bf 109K was the final mass-produced version of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter from the end of the Second World War. An aerodynamically cleaned-up airframe and a powerful engine made it one of the fastest piston aircraft of its time. Faithful wheels with a tread pattern and lettering on the tire walls raise the realism of a model.
Wash the parts to remove print resin residue, cut off the print supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Separate the hubs from the tires by masking, apply primer and paints with an airbrush, and turn the flat contact area so that the bulge points downward.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
