A set of 3D self-adhesive decals for raising the realism of the interior of a model in 1:48 scale. These are color, finely raised details printed on a flexible film which are applied straight onto the cabin parts like a sticker. They replace or supplement photo-etched sets and give the instrument panels, the side consoles and the control panels a three-dimensional, faithful look without laborious hand painting. The set is intended for Academy kits.

The real subject

The CH-46E Sea Knight is a twin-rotor transport helicopter with its main rotors in tandem, used for many years to carry troops and cargo. Its roomy pilot cabin and cargo compartment offer a range of instruments and panels that this set captures.

Use

• Clean grease and dust off the surface of the part.
• Peel the detail off carefully and lay it in the right place.
• Press it down gently so that the film settles into the recesses as well.
• It is worth combining it with a dark base for maximum contrast.
