Responsibility details are not available.
A resin conversion set from the Czech maker CMK that makes it possible to rebuild a model of the British Beaufighter in 1:48 scale into the Australian DAP Beaufighter Mk.21 version. It is not a stand-alone kit but a conversion accessory for a base model. The set contains resin conversion parts, a vacuum-formed observer's canopy and a decal sheet for two machines of the Royal Australian Air Force.
The Bristol Beaufighter was a British twin-engined heavy fighter and attack aircraft of the Second World War. The Mk.21 version was built under license in Australia by the local Department of Aircraft Production (DAP) and served with the Royal Australian Air Force in the Pacific theater. It differed from the British machines in a number of details of armament and equipment.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. Cut the vacuum-formed canopy out carefully with a sharp knife along the outline. The conversion calls for work on the plastic of the base model, so expect fitting and filling. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
This is a conversion accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
