An injection-molded plastic kit of the single-seat F-16C fighter in the Block 25 and Block 42 configurations of the US Air Force (USAF) in 1:48 scale. The set comes from a new Kinetic tooling in their premium line, and it brings fine engraving, separate flight control surfaces and a generous choice of external stores. The decals let you build machines in USAF service.
The F-16C is the single-seat upgraded version of the F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter, nicknamed the Viper. Block 25 introduced the APG-68 radar and a glass cockpit with multi-function displays, while Block 42 brought the ability to carry the LANTIRN system for low-level night flying and anti-radiation missiles, together with strengthened landing gear. The aircraft became one of the most widespread combat machines in the world and in both blocks it served with a number of US Air Force squadrons at home and abroad.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and separate the small armament parts carefully. Finish and paint the cockpit with the ejection seat before you close up the fuselage, and mask the glazing. Choose the load of stores to match the particular machine. The typical gray USAF camouflage schemes come out well with gentle panel shading and a light wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
