The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II was one of the most successful two-seat supersonic fighter and strike aircraft of the Cold War. The F-4E version had a built-in gun and, on late machines, various upgrades, for example leading-edge slats on the wings. Phantoms served for decades with the US Air Force and with a number of other countries.
More experienced modelers will appreciate this richly detailed kit. It pays to build in subassemblies and to consider which internal details (the engine, the bays) to leave exposed. Paint the cockpit and the ejection seats in detail and mask the glazing. Glue with liquid cement for plastic, apply primer and paints with an airbrush, put the decals on a gloss coat and pick out the panel lines with a wash.
