An injection-molded plastic kit of the British twin-engine high-wing Handley Page Harrow Mk.II in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Valom. The package contains plastic parts and a decal sheet. Given the size of the real aircraft, it is a rather large model of a short-run character.
The Handley Page Harrow was a British twin-engine high-wing aircraft of the second half of the nineteen-thirties. It originated as a heavy bomber for the RAF and later served mainly in a transport and support role. The design with fixed landing gear and an angular fuselage is typical of the transition between the interwar and the wartime generation of aircraft.
With a larger short-run kit it pays off to reinforce the glued joints and to keep checking the symmetry of the fuselage and the wings. Glue with liquid cement for plastic, even the seams out with putty and use a gloss varnish before the decals. A matte camouflage scheme will be accentuated by subsequent washes and a light patina.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
