Eduard 1:48 Heinkel He-111Z Zwilling TFace is a double-sided masking set for a model of this aircraft in 1:48 scale. The TFace designation means masks for the outside and the inside of the glazing. It is not a kit or a photo-etched set.

A set of die-cut self-adhesive masks from the Czech maker Eduard. The kind of product is unambiguous: these are masking templates for painting, not photo-etched metal parts and not a kit. You buy the model of the aircraft separately.
The abbreviation TFace marks the form in which the set contains masks for both sides of the glazing, that is separately for the outside and separately for the inside. The practical benefit is considerable. The canopy frames are a different color inside than outside — inside they are usually in the interior shade, outside in the camouflage scheme. With a double-sided set you first mask the inside, spray the interior color, and only then do the outer masks and the camouflage scheme follow. The glass stays protected on both sides the whole time. An ordinary single-sided set covers only the outside.
The He 111Z was created by joining two He 111 airframes with a new center wing section carrying a fifth engine, and it was used to tow heavy cargo gliders. Two fuselages mean two fully glazed nose sections, that is a great many frames. It is on a model like this that the difference between masking by hand and a pre-cut double-sided set shows most, both in time and in the evenness of the edges.
First apply the inner masks, before you set the glazing into the fuselage. Spray the interior shade, fit the glazing and add the outer set from outside. Always press the edges down with a blunt tip, apply the paint in thin coats and remove the mask while the finish is still fresh. The set is die-cut for a particular kit of this type, so check the compatibility beforehand.
