About product

IJA Pitot Tubes Set 1:48 (FineMolds)

This is a fine detail set of pitot tubes meant for models of aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit of an aircraft but an accessory that replaces the coarser and easily damaged part from a plastic kit with a precisely shaped substitute.

Use

  • It replaces the kit pitot tube with a more faithful and more durable part.
  • Cut it from the casting block and clean it up, then fit it into the hole prepared for it.
  • It is glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate) for a firm joint.
  • Once painted it raises the realism of the nose and the leading edges of a model.

Who it is for

  • Modelers of Imperial Japanese Army aircraft of the Second World War.
  • Anyone interested in superdetailing who is bothered by a soft plastic part.
  • Builders in 1:48 scale.

The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
