Reskit 1:48 LAU-10 ZUNI rocket launchers for the US Army and Navy (2 pcs) is a 3D-printed resin set of two launcher pods for completing the armament of strike and attack aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set contains two 3D-printed resin LAU-10 launchers for five-inch unguided ZUNI rockets in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but an armament accessory that replaces the simplified kit parts with a faithful copy of the real weapon. Thanks to 3D-printing technology the parts have crisp edges, fine surface detail and a minimum of casting flaws.
The LAU-10 is a pod for four five-inch (127 mm) unguided ZUNI rockets, which the US Navy, the Marine Corps and the US Air Force used against ground and area targets. The launcher appeared on a wide range of American attack and strike aircraft of the Cold War and of later conflicts.
First wash the resin parts in warm water with detergent to remove any print resin residue. Cut the blocks and the supports off with a sharp knife or a saw and clean up the surfaces, ideally with your airways protected. Bond the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a base coat (primer) before painting, then the shades for the particular aircraft and carrier with an airbrush.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
