A detail set from Reskit in 1:48 scale, made of resin. It replaces the production seat in the cockpit of a model of the A-7 Corsair II attack aircraft with an accurate replica of the early IC-2 / IG-2 ejection seat. The part is richly defined: the straps, the ejection handles and other details are cast directly in resin. This is not an aircraft model, but an accessory for refining the interior of the cockpit.
The LTV A-7 Corsair II was an American subsonic carrier-borne attack aircraft derived from the F-8 Crusader fighter. The early A-7D (US Air Force) and A-7E (US Navy) versions used an ejection seat whose early variant is the subject of this set.
Wash the mold release residue off the part, cut it from the casting block and clean it up. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Sand resin with respiratory protection. It pays to paint and pick out the seat before the cockpit is closed up.
This is a resin accessory. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
