A photo-etched detail set from the Czech maker Hauler in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but a photo-etched accessory for building a plastic model of the British Matilda infantry tank. Thin metal parts replace the coarser plastic items and add details that noticeably lift the look of the finished model at this scale. The set is intended for the Tamiya kit.
The Matilda (Infantry Tank Mk.II) was a British infantry tank of the early Second World War. It stood out for its heavy armor, but it was slow. It made its name above all in the fighting in North Africa, where its toughness earned it the nickname Queen of the Desert.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and make the bends in a bender or against a ruler. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before painting, spray the whole model with a primer for better adhesion of the paint on the metal.
This is a photo-etched accessory, not a complete model. The Tamiya base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
