This set from Quinta Studio upgrades the cockpit of the reconnaissance version of the fast Soviet aircraft. The colored 3D decals are printed on decal backing paper, they have real depth and color and they are applied by the wet method. The enclosed 3D-printed resin parts fill in the three-dimensional elements of the cockpit. The target kit is the one from ICM.
The MiG-25RBF was a specialized reconnaissance variant of the MiG-25 fitted with electronic reconnaissance equipment. It built on the altitude and speed capabilities of the MiG-25 family. The richly equipped cockpit makes for an impressive model.
Cut the part out of the sheet, dip it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on a gloss varnish of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 kind; on broken surfaces a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin. Wash the print resin residue off the resin parts and glue them with super glue.
This is an aftermarket accessory (a 3D decal with resin parts), not a kit. The model itself and the paints are not included in the package.
