This is a resin, 3D printed detail set from the Ukrainian brand Reskit, not an airplane kit. The Detailed edition replaces the pilot's compartment of the late P-47D-30 Thunderbolt version with a richly rendered interior: the instrument panel, the side panels, the seat, the controls and the frame. It is meant for experienced modelers building in 1:48 scale.
The Republic P-47D Thunderbolt was an American heavy fighter of the Second World War with the powerful Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine. The late machines of the D-30 series had a bubble canopy with an excellent view; a worked-out cockpit is therefore clearly visible under the glazing.
Separate the parts from the print supports, clean them up and wash them free of print resin residue. Glue with cyanoacrylate. Paint the interior in the period shade (US Interior Green) and pick out the instruments and levers with dry brushing and a wash; the fine labels stand out under an open canopy.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The basic model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
