Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic model of the American Republic P-47D Thunderbolt fighter from Hobby Boss in 1:48 scale. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted; it is a simpler plastic kit from a range with fewer parts, suitable for a faster build as well. For the exact package contents and the schemes offered, refer to the enclosed instructions and the markings on the box.
The P-47 Thunderbolt was a massive American fighter of the Second World War powered by a Pratt & Whitney radial engine with a turbocharger. It was notable for its rugged structure, the heavy machine gun armament in the wings and the toughness that also made it a success as a fighter-bomber attacking ground targets. The P-47D version was the most numerously produced variant and served on all the main fronts.
Even with a simpler kit it pays to spray the cockpit before you close the fuselage. Bond with a thin plastic cement and sand the joints down. The massive shapes of the Thunderbolt come into their own with an airbrush over a primer; if you are building the natural metal version, use a smooth base. Spray a gloss clear coat under the decals to prevent silvering and even the surface out with a final coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
