A set of four 3D-printed (resin) pivoting underwing pylons with integrated LAU-105 launcher rails for the American F-111F variable-geometry strike aircraft in 1:48 scale from Reskit. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory for a base kit. The set is intended for experienced modelers.
The F-111 had a variable-geometry wing, and so that the underwing pylons stayed parallel to the direction of flight as the wing swept, they pivoted along with it - hence pivot pylons. The LAU-105 launcher rail served to carry air-to-air missiles. The set replaces the simplified parts out of the box with more faithful ones and refines the typical combat configuration of the F-111F. Check which base kit the set is shaped for.
Wash any print resin residue off the parts, carefully separate them from the supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. Apply primer before painting; the small parts are more convenient to paint before they are taken off the block.
This is an accessory printed set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
