Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Thunderbolt Mk.I fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale from MiniArt. The designation Basic Kit means a plainer package: it holds only the plastic parts and the clear canopy, with no photo-etched parts and no painting masks such as the richer editions carry. According to the manufacturer, decals for two marking options are in the package. Check the exact contents against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Thunderbolt Mk.I is the British designation of the American Republic P-47 Thunderbolt fighter in the version with the spine running smoothly into the fuselage (the razorback). It was one of the most important American fighter aircraft of the Second World War - a rugged, heavy machine with a radial engine, heavy armament and great range. Thunderbolts reached service with the Royal Air Force (RAF) in the later stages of the war and came into their own above all overseas.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Paint and accentuate the cockpit interior before closing the fuselage, and mask the clear canopy when spraying. Apply a primer and the colors with an airbrush, and lay the decals over a gloss coat. Bring out the panel lines with a wash and add the appropriate wear for front-line service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
