Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the British aircraft carrier HMS Formidable as she was in 1941, in 1:700 scale. The model captures the characteristic armored flight deck of the Illustrious-class ships. The kit is known for its fine molding and rich detail.
HMS Formidable was an Illustrious-class aircraft carrier built for the Royal Navy before the Second World War. She entered service at the end of 1940 and became known for her service in the Mediterranean; her aircraft played a key part in the Battle of Cape Matapan early in 1941. Later the ship suffered heavy damage in attacks by German dive bombers.
The hull can be built as the instructions show; glue the fine parts and any photo-etched parts with super glue. Pre-shading the flight deck, thin washes in the recesses and discreet weathering all work well. The model shows to good advantage on a stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
