The set contains four 3D printed resin AAM-3 guided air-to-air missiles in 1:72 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory to plastic kits that sharpens the external stores of Japanese fighters.
The AAM-3 is a Japanese short-range infrared homing air-to-air missile. In Japanese service it replaced older missiles of the same category and it is carried by modern fighters. The set faithfully reproduces the shape of the body, the control surfaces and the seeker head.
Wash the parts to remove any uncured resin, carefully cut off the 3D print supports and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a base coat, paint with an airbrush and bring out the fine edges with washes.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
