An add-on set for aircraft models in 1:72 scale: the AGM-158 air-launched guided missile for attacking ground targets.
Responsibility details are not available.
The AGM-158, known under the designation JASSM, is an American air-launched guided missile meant to destroy ground targets from a long distance, that is as a rule from outside the reach of air defenses. It has an angular body with a low radar return and wings that deploy only after separation from the aircraft, so on the pylon the missile looks discreet and slim. It entered service with several types of American combat aircraft.
An add-on set of the AGM-158 missile in 1:72 scale to be carried under an aircraft model. The number of pieces and the recommended kits are given in the manufacturer's instructions, as is the information on the mounting parts.
The parts are not polystyrene, so polystyrene cement will not bond them; use super glue. Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest down, so that the slim body of the missile stays straight and without a step. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. It works best if you paint and stencil the missile separately and attach it to the model at the very end; on the pylon it is hard to reach with either a brush or an airbrush. When gluing it to the pylon, check that all the stores are parallel to the axis of the aircraft, because a crooked missile shows on the finished model from every angle.
For modelers who build modern American combat aircraft in 1:72 scale and want to complete the armament with more accurate parts than the kit usually holds.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
