A set of masks for a model of the Martin B-10 and B-12 bomber and the export Model 139 in 1:72 scale. An accessory for the build; the model is not part of the delivery.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is a set of masks for a model of the bomber listed as the B-10, B-12 and the export Model 139 in 1:72 scale, not a kit. The masks are applied before spraying to the areas that are to stay unpainted or to receive a different shade, and they are removed once the coat has become tacky. Which areas the set covers is given in the enclosed instructions.
In the early 1930s the Martin B-10 was a watershed: an all-metal monoplane with retractable landing gear, an internal bomb bay and enclosed crew positions, that is, a machine that left the biplane bombers of the day far behind. The Model 139 is its export form, which several foreign air forces took on. It is exactly the enclosed positions and the glazed nose that make a model of this aircraft a job where masking pays off: hand-cut tape is hard to apply to small frames in 1:72 scale, and an uneven edge shows at once under gloss glazing.
What is supplied are the masks, that is, an accessory for the build. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
