The angular, heavily divided glazing of the earliest production Messerschmitts is what the Rob Taurus 1:72 Bf-109 B/C set contains.
Responsibility details are not available.
A replacement clear part for the earliest production Messerschmitts. The early versions had completely different framing from later machines, which is why a canopy from the newer variants cannot be used on them. Anyone building a prewar fighter needs exactly this shape.
The Bf-109 B and C are versions from 1937 and 1938, that is, from the time when the type was only beginning to build its reputation. They were powered by the Junkers Jumo 210 V engine, not the later Daimler-Benz, and you recognize them by the shallower nose, the strut-braced horizontal tail surfaces and a considerably lower output. The B carried two machine guns above the engine, the C doubled that number and received an engine with direct fuel injection. Both went through their baptism of fire in Spain with the Condor Legion, where it became clear how far ahead the design was. The glazing was angular, heavily divided and hinged to the side.
The dense framing of the early machines looks best when it is masked panel by panel and sprayed first in the interior shade and only then in the outer camouflage color. The inside of the frames will then be the right color even when you look closely into the cockpit. Sand the joint between the frame and the fuselage smooth before the paint goes on.
This is a stand-alone accessory for a build, not an aircraft in a box.
