A plastic kit of a combat aircraft of Chinese manufacture in 1:72 scale. The model is supplied unassembled: the parts have to be separated, glued and painted. The exact type designation of the subject, the parts count and the range of markings are given by the manufacturer on the box and in the instructions, so go through them before the build.
The seventy-second is the most widespread scale for aircraft and there are practical reasons for that. The finished model takes up little room in a display case, so a whole group of machines can stand side by side, and this is also the scale with the widest choice of accessories, decals and masks. On modern combat aircraft, 1:72 also captures the slender silhouette of the fuselage well without the model becoming unmanageably large.
Test fit the parts dry first and check the mating surfaces, especially on the fuselage halves and the wing leading edges. Cut away excess material and production marks with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand off the rest. Use a glue intended for plastic models. Mask the cockpit and apply the mask before spraying, not after the paint has dried. Wash and degrease the surfaces before painting and lay down a uniform base; on aircraft with large smooth surfaces this shows in the result. Sand the joints with fine paper once they have cured, so that they do not show on the finished model.
Paints, glue, thinner and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
