This is not a helicopter kit but a detail accessory — it replaces the wheels from the plastic box with more accurate castings carrying a sharper rendering of the tire tread, hubs and brakes. The tire and the hub are usually arranged so that they can be masked and painted separately. The set is meant for more advanced modelers who want a more faithful landing gear.
The EH-101 Merlin is a three-engine multi-role helicopter of European origin. The HC.3 version served as an assault and transport machine for land-based operations; the type carries troops, cargo and supplies and is also used on rescue duties. A sturdy landing gear takes the weight of a large helicopter even in rough conditions.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent left from the mold, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Resin is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the tires dark gray rather than deep black and dust them lightly; choose the hubs according to the particular aircraft. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
Supplied as an unpainted resin wheel set for more experienced modelers. It is not a helicopter model; the plastic kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
