This is a resin detail set of the exhaust nozzles of the European Eurofighter Typhoon fighter in 1:72 scale from Aires. It is neither a kit nor an airplane model but a replacement for the simplified plastic nozzles with more accurate resin castings. The set is intended for the plastic Eurofighter kits from Revell.
The castings faithfully capture the inner as well as the outer shape of the jet engine nozzles - the petals, the rings and the fine surface detail that injection-molded plastic usually cannot render faithfully. Once painted and given a hint of heat discoloration of the metal, they markedly lift the realism of the rear end of the model.
First wash the parts free of remnants of the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off and clean the surfaces up - protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue with cyanoacrylate. Apply primer before painting; lay the metallic shades and the heat tints on with an airbrush in thin coats. Check the fit with your particular kit before gluing.
