A large plastic kit of the four-engine long-range maritime aircraft Focke-Wulf Fw 200 C-3 Condor in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. It is an injection-molded model in gray plastic with engraved panel lines, a long fuselage, the span of four engines and an extensively glazed cockpit area. Thanks to the size of the real aircraft this is a large model even in 1:72 scale.
The Fw 200 Condor was originally created as a long-range airliner and during the war it was converted into a maritime reconnaissance and anti-shipping bomber. With its great range it operated over the Atlantic, where it searched for convoys, directed submarines onto them and attacked ships itself. To the Allied navies it was such a threat that it earned the nickname the scourge of the Atlantic.
On a large fuselage, take care that the halves are glued firmly and straight and that the four engine nacelles are aligned. Assemble and paint the interior and the extensive glazing before closing up, and mask the glazing carefully. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic; you will handle the maritime camouflage with its light undersides best with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
