This is not an aircraft model but a resin detail set of underwing armament in 1:72 scale. The package contains two faithful representations of the GBU-12 laser-guided bomb in the thermally protected form. The resin castings reproduce the characteristic rougher texture of the protective coating as well as the crisp shapes of the guidance and control sections.
The GBU-12 is a laser-guided bomb of the Paveway family based on the classic 500-pound aircraft bomb. The thermally protected form carries a surface layer that resists aerodynamic heating when carried on fast aircraft. Munitions of this type are widely deployed on modern combat aircraft.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The rougher surface of the protective layer comes out well with a suitable shade and light highlighting.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
