An accessory for the model of the F-16C fighter of blocks 40 to 52 in 1:72 scale. Meant for adding to a kit, not for building a model on its own.
Responsibility details are not available.
The General Dynamics F-16 is a single-engined multirole combat aircraft and the most widespread Western fighter of its generation. The F-16C version went through a number of production blocks, and machines of blocks 40 to 52 are among the later, more capable versions with equipment for night attack and for suppressing enemy air defenses. The powerplant differs by block as well: blocks 40 and 50 carry a General Electric engine, blocks 42 and 52 a Pratt & Whitney one. The differences between the blocks show up in a number of external details too, which matters to the modeler.
An accessory for the model of the F-16C of blocks 40 to 52 in 1:72 scale, meant for adding to a kit. You cannot build a model on its own from it. The parts are not polystyrene, plastic cement has no effect on them and they are joined with super glue. Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest off; wash and degrease the parts before painting. The manufacturer's instructions give the exact procedure.
First make sure your kit matches one of blocks 40 to 52, since the early versions of the F-16 differ in a number of details. Keep trying the parts dry until they seat without pressure, and only then glue them. Apply super glue with the tip of a toothpick so that surplus does not turn white in a visible place.
For modelers who build the F-16C in 1:72 scale and want to add to the model beyond what the box holds. The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
