Seat belts for Japanese aircraft 1:72 (FineMolds)

A detail accessory for making the cockpits of Japanese aircraft of the Second World War more accurate in 1:72 scale. The box contains a set of several complete belt sets with which you replace the missing or simplified belts of a plastic kit. It is not an airplane model but a separate accessory for superdetailing.

Material and use

The belts are molded from a thin flexible plastic, so they can easily be arranged to drape naturally over the seat. They are glued with an ordinary modeling cement for plastic and painted with standard modeling paints, with no need for a metal primer. Thanks to their pliability you get a more realistic sag than with flat photo-etched belts.

Usage tips

• Bend the belts gently and shape them as you want before gluing.
• Trim the excess ends with a sharp knife to suit the particular seat.
• Bring out the buckles and the fittings with a dry brush or a dark wash.
