This is not an aircraft model but a resin detail set of replacement main landing gear wheels in 1:72 scale. The castings have a realistic flattening of the tires under load, a faithful tread and crisp relief of the hub. The set reproduces the early wheels and is intended for models of the Junkers Ju 88A-1 bomber in this scale.

The real subject

The Junkers Ju 88 was a versatile German twin-engine aircraft of the Second World War that served as a bomber, a dive bomber and a night fighter. The A-1 version is one of the early production forms; the early wheels match that period of service.

Usage tips

Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The hubs are best painted before the wheels are glued into the landing gear forks.
