The Me 262 is the first jet fighter that went into series production and into combat. You will recognize it by its swept wing, its fuselage of triangular cross-section, the pair of engine nacelles slung under the wing and the landing gear with a nosewheel. The cockpit is covered by a heavily framed canopy, which is among the most conspicuous places on a finished model. The letter A in the designation refers to the basic fighter version.
A clear canopy for the Me 262 A in 1:72 scale, that is a replacement for the part from the kit. It comes in handy in two situations: when the original glazing gets scratched, fogged by glue or lost, and when you want to build the model with an open cockpit and do not want to cut up the single part in the box to do it. How many pieces the set carries, in what form and which kit it is cut for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
