A resin detail set of replacement wheels in 1:72 scale from Reskit. It is not an aircraft kit but an aftermarket accessory. It replaces the plastic wheels from the box with cleanly cast parts with a more faithful tire tread and fine detail on the hubs.
The landing gear of the famous F-86 Sabre is clearly visible on a model, and resin wheels give it a more realistic look than the production plastic. The castings tend to be made with a hint of load on the tires, so the machine looks as if it really rested its whole weight on the ground. The set covers a range of post-war Sabre versions.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand them (protect your airways). They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Lay down a primer before painting and spray the tires and the hubs separately.
The set contains resin wheel parts only and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the aircraft model are not included in the package.
