A set of four 3D printed resin OFAB-250-270 fragmentation and high explosive bombs in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an external stores accessory with a faithful shape of the bomb body and of the tail unit.

The real subject

The OFAB-250-270 is a Soviet fragmentation and high explosive aircraft bomb for attacks on ground targets, weighing around 250 to 270 kilograms. It was carried by attack and fighter machines such as the Su-25, the Su-24, the Su-17/22, the MiG-27 and the MiG-29. Its characteristic features are the streamlined body with a conical tail cover and fins.

Building and painting tips

Wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut them from the print supports and clean them up. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The bodies of the bombs are usually in shades of dark gray or green; an airbrush and accentuating the seams with a wash are recommended.
