An injection-molded plastic kit of the supersonic McDonnell RF-101G/H Voodoo reconnaissance aircraft in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Valom. The model consists of plastic parts and offers a decal sheet with several marking options. It is a kit of the short-run type, which will reward a more careful approach to cleaning up and to the fit of the parts.
The McDonnell Voodoo was an American twin-engine supersonic aircraft. The RF-101G and RF-101H versions came about by converting earlier fighter machines into tactical reconnaissance aircraft with cameras housed in a reworked nose. They served above all with National Guard units and are associated with the Cold War period.
With short-run kits it pays off to try the parts dry before gluing, to use liquid cement for plastic and to even out the imperfections with putty and sanding. Before spraying we recommend a primer; on natural metal a metallic paint comes out well over a smooth base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
