A plastic kit from Kovozavody Prostejov (KP) representing the Italian jet trainer of the SIAI-Marchetti S.211 / M-311 family in 1:72 scale. The set contains injection-molded plastic parts, clear canopy parts, decals and building instructions.
The SIAI-Marchetti S.211 is a light jet trainer and light combat aircraft developed in Italy at the end of the 1970s, which entered service in the first half of the 1980s. It is marked by a swept high-mounted wing and good handling qualities suited to training. The modernized form later carried the M-311 designation; the type served with several foreign air forces.
Dry-fit the parts, glue with thin cement for plastic and mask the canopy before varnishing. Spray the paints with an airbrush over a primer; training machines often carry conspicuous high-visibility schemes, so careful masking and settling the decals onto gloss varnish pay off.
