A green metallic shade from the Gunze Acrysion acrylic line. A metallic sheen for racing paintwork, helmets, small accessories and fantasy machines.

Green is among the shades that read most strongly in a metallic form. It recalls beetle wing cases, lacquered helmets and British racing cars, where green became a mark of recognition. On a model it therefore draws attention at once and it needs a smaller area than a flat tone would.
It finds use on car bodies and hoods, on the helmets of riders and pilots, on the covers of the power units of fantasy machines and on small accessories meant to set one figure or vehicle apart from the rest. Smaller parts take the tone at full strength, while on large areas it is more sensible to keep the coat thinner.
The consistency of the paint is adjusted with water or with the thinner of this line, which carries the designation Acrysion Thinner, and the tools are cleaned once the work is done with Acrysion Tool Cleaner. The contents of the bottle have to be stirred afresh every time, otherwise part of the metallic pigment stays lying at the bottom and the spray loses its sparkle.
An interesting effect arises when a thin coat of a translucent paint of a different tone is laid over the finished green. The metal keeps showing through underneath, but the whole gains a deeper and more changeable shade, which shifts according to where the light falls on the model.
