About product

Tamiya AS-16 Light Gray 100 ml

Tamiya AS-16 Light Gray is a synthetic lacquer aircraft spray (Aircraft Spray) in a 100 ml pressurized can, supplied ready for immediate use. The AS line offers accurate shades for building aircraft models. The light gray AS-16 tone is based on American aircraft markings (USAF) and is typically used on the underside surfaces of American aircraft.

Use

  • Shake the can thoroughly for several dozen seconds before spraying.
  • Spray from a distance of about 25–30 cm in thin, even coats.
  • Apply over clean plastic or a cured primer coat for an even base.
  • Several thin coats are better than one heavy one — this limits runs and preserves a fine surface.
  • Once dry, details and markings can be added with acrylic or enamel paints.

Who it is for

For aircraft modelers building American aircraft with light gray undersides. The shade is formulated for an accurate tone on models in 1:48 and 1:32 scale.

A flammable pressurized aerosol. Use in a well-ventilated space, away from open flame and heat sources. Keep out of reach of children.
