A gloss white from the Mr.Color shade range, named after the flagship Brünhild. A lacquer binder, fast drying and a smooth film that also suits use under decals.

Brünhild is among the most easily recognized ships in the whole Legend of the Galactic Heroes saga. While the imperial squadrons keep to cool, dark tones, the flagship of Reinhard von Lohengramm shines almost without an admixture of any other color. That impression is exactly what the shade carries over onto plastic: a pure white with a high gloss, with no yellowish or bluish shift.
The binder is a lacquer, so the surface dries within a few minutes and, once cured, holds a firm, hard film. White pigments cover more slowly than dark ones, so count on two or three thin coats instead of one heavy layer. An overdone coat lifts and loses its gloss. It is thinned with the thinner of the same brand; a ratio of about three parts paint to one part thinner is a sensible starting point for an airbrush, while brushing goes less well because the stroke sets so quickly.
The high gloss makes this shade a good undercoat anywhere a saturated yellow or red is to follow, because those lose their brightness over dark plastic. It also comes into its own on fuselage bands, on wheel rims or on parts of interiors where a porcelain look is wanted. And because the surface is glossy in itself, there is no need to spray a separate gloss coat before the decals.
Stir the bottle down to the last of the pigment settled at the bottom, ideally for several minutes. Spray in a ventilated area, as the solvent vapors are irritating.
