Exactly how the shade looks on a sprayed surface is best judged from the manufacturer's color chart; neither a printed nor an on-screen preview ever captures a color completely. The range marked CL forms a group of shades of its own.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before every session, so that the pigment settled at the bottom is mixed in evenly. The thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio are given by the manufacturer on the packaging; for an airbrush the ratio tends to differ from the one for brushing. Wash and degrease the surface beforehand and apply a primer coat; on bare plastic the paint holds less well and rubs off easily. Spray or brush in thin coats and let each flash off, because one thick coat fills the engraving and leaves brush marks in the surface. Work in a ventilated room.
Before you start on the model, make a test on a piece of scrap plastic or on a hidden area. That will show you the opacity of the shade and also that the layer beneath it does not react and lift. After work, close the bottle carefully so that the paint does not thicken, wipe the thread and the rim of the neck and store it at room temperature out of the reach of children.
