Flat Earth is a shade from the Vallejo Model Color range. It is a modeling paint, not a kit - the package holds only the paint in a dropper bottle with a volume of 17 ml. Model Color is a water-thinnable acrylic, flat and well covering, developed above all for the brush. The manufacturer gives the code FS30145 directly in the name of the shade. The paint is a flat earthy brown - exactly the tone that dried soil, dust and mud have.
With an earthy brown this is the crucial point: apply it rather thinned and unevenly, not as a continuous covering coat. A continuous coat looks like paint, not like dirt. Work in layers - flow heavily thinned paint into the recesses and gaps, and apply the thicker paint with drybrushing or stippling only where mud would really get to (undersides, wheels, tracks, the leading edges of the running gear). It thins with water or an acrylic thinner, never with a solvent one. For an airbrush the paint has to be thinned - Model Color is not a range ready to spray straight from the bottle.
