Kh-59M guided missile, 1:48 is a 3D-printed resin replica of the Soviet longer-range air-to-ground guided missile in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds a 3D-printed resin replica of the Kh-59M air-to-ground guided missile in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for the external stores. The print holds the slung engine nacelle and the folding surfaces, which a mold cannot produce.
The Kh-59M is a Soviet and Russian longer-range air-to-ground guided missile with a jet engine slung in a nacelle under the body. After launch it flies low over the terrain toward the target, where the operator uses a television picture to steer it to the exact point of impact. It is precisely the nacelle with the engine that is the unmistakable mark setting it apart from the older missiles of the family. It is carried by Su-24M tactical bombers and by machines of the Su-30 and Su-34 families.
Wash the 3D-printed parts in warm soapy water first, to get rid of any print resin residue. Cut the print supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as you can and sand the marks away with respiratory protection. Resin does not bond with polystyrene cement, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold well on the smooth print. Assemble and paint the armament separately and glue it to the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces do not get rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
