The set holds 3D-printed resin launchers and pylons for the upgraded version of the Su-25SM attack aircraft, in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for the external stores. For the original version the manufacturer keeps a separate item, so choose according to the machine you are building.
The Su-25SM is the upgraded version of the attack aircraft, with new avionics, new navigation equipment and a wider range of armament. The upgrade made it possible to carry newer guided weapons, and the reworked pylons and launchers match that. The stores of an attack aircraft tend to be full and in plain view, because the machine flies low and with a heavy combat load. On a model the pylons therefore decide whether the armament sits correctly.
Wash the 3D-printed parts in warm soapy water first, to get rid of any print resin residue. Cut the print supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as you can and sand the marks away with respiratory protection. Resin does not bond with polystyrene cement, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold well on the smooth print. Assemble and paint the armament separately and glue it to the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces do not get rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
