The set of launchers for the Su-33 in 1:48 scale is a 3D-printed resin accessory from Temp Models.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of launchers and pylons for a model of the Su-33 carrier fighter in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. These are the parts on which the missiles under the wing and under the fuselage hang and from which they are launched. A plastic kit usually simplifies them; printing in resin manages the guide rails and the small locks as well. It is not an aircraft kit but an armament accessory.
The Su-33 is a carrier fighter intended above all to defend a group of ships against air attack, so its usual armament is air-to-air missiles of several categories. Light short-range rockets hang on rail launchers, heavier medium-range missiles are released by ejector launchers under the fuselage and under the air intakes. The make-up of the mountings therefore differs according to the role the aircraft in a photograph happens to be filling.
Release the parts from the supports over a working surface; the arms are thin. Level the mating face on abrasive paper on glass, so that no gap is left between the launcher and the pylon. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the pylons separately from the airframe and fit them only once they are painted. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
