Sensors and antennas for the Su-25, 1:48 is a 3D-printed resin set of external sensors, antennas and pressure probes for a model of the Su-25 attack aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings 3D-printed resin replacements for the external sensors, antennas and air pressure probes on a model of the Su-25 attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. In injection-molded plastic these small items are always thickened and it stands out on a finished model. The print manages them at a thickness that matches the real thing.
The Su-25 carries pressure and angle-of-attack sensors, antennas for its radio systems and radar warning receivers on the nose, the fuselage and the wings. On an attack aircraft that works low down within reach of ground defenses, the defensive and warning items matter especially. Their placement also changes from version to version, so they serve as a clue for identifying a machine. In reality they are thin rods and vanes that a mold cannot deliver to scale.
Wash the 3D-printed parts in warm soapy water first, to get rid of any print resin residue. Cut the print supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as you can and sand the marks away with respiratory protection. Resin does not bond with polystyrene cement, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold well on the smooth print. Number the small parts before you cut them off the supports, because once severed they are easy to mix up.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
