For this set the manufacturer gives finely detailed nose and braked wheels in the weighted state and a nose gear mudguard of the correct shape. The parts are printed from photopolymer and replace the plastic wheels from the kit, but they do not replace the aircraft model.
The MiG-25 is a Soviet high-speed interceptor and reconnaissance aircraft whose airframe is for the most part welded from steel so that it can take the heating at speeds around three times the speed of sound. It is powered by two R-15B-300 jet engines. The high takeoff weight left its mark on the landing gear as well, and on a standing aircraft its tires are clearly weighted and flattened, which plastic kit wheels usually do not capture.
Cut the print supports away with a sharp scalpel and sand the pad they leave, ideally so that any remnant stays on the bottom face that sits on the ground. Glue the wheels with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue. Lay down a filler primer before painting. Never paint the tires pure black; a very dark gray with a lighter dust pigment on the sidewalls and in the tread is better. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
