A water-thinnable Gunze Aqueous Hobby Color acrylic paint in a red-brown shade for wood, earth and corrosion.
Responsibility details are not available.
Red-brown is a dark earthy tone with a warm red undertone, the color of rusted sheet metal, bricks, fired clay and some kinds of wood. In modeling it is used less as the coat of a whole machine and more as a building block of a surface: it forms the base over which corrosion, grubbiness and deposits of earth are then built. Without a warm brown tone, weathered surfaces look cold and lifeless.
Most often on areas that are meant to look worn or natural:
Dark earthy shades cover well, so you manage with fewer coats than with light colors; all the more easily, though, they clog fine engraving if too much paint goes on at once. Rust looks better when built from several shades: lay the red-brown down as a base and only then work on it with darker and lighter tones or with pigments. Mix the bottle thoroughly before work. The paint suits a brush as well as an airbrush; for spraying, thin it with the thinner intended for this line and wash the tools right after work.
One bottle of paint is supplied. Thinner, pigments, clear coat and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
