HUG302 is a saturated red from the range of paints prepared directly for Gundam kits. The designation Immortal Justice refers to the machine whose colors the shade is to repeat, so the lengthy mixing and hunting for the right tone falls away. It serves just as well anywhere else you need a striking red area.
It is an acrylic paint thinnable with water from the Gunze range. It dries to a semi-gloss sheen, which on robot kits is a practical compromise: it does not accentuate small surface irregularities the way a high gloss does and at the same time it does not lose the modeling of the shapes the way a fully flat coat does.
Stir the contents of the bottle thoroughly before use, the pigment settles at the bottom. Lay down two or three thin coats rather than one heavy one and let the paint dry between coats. For an airbrush thin the paint and match the ratio to the pressure and to the size of the nozzle. Wash and degrease the parts beforehand, which raises the adhesion noticeably. Always try the shade on a leftover piece of sprue, not straight on a visible area of the model.
The paint is supplied on its own. The kit, the thinner, the clear coat, the brushes and the airbrush are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
