A set of modeling paints from the Hataka Orange Line range focused on the US Army Air Force of the years 1943 to 1945. These are lacquers (acrylic lacquer) optimized for spraying with an airbrush, matched into one package for the late scheme of American aircraft of the Second World War, including the period of unpainted metal surfaces.

Chemistry and use

The paints are lacquer-based: they are thinned with the lacquer thinner recommended by the manufacturer (Hataka Orange Line thinner), not with water. They are applied mainly with an airbrush in thin coats, cover well and dry quickly to a semi-matte or matte surface suitable under decals and a patina.

Use

• Stir the paint thoroughly before use.
• Thin it with the lacquer thinner of the same range, not with water.
• Spray in several thin coats; work in a well-ventilated space.
• Suitable for plastic and for a primed surface alike.
