A medium gray semi-gloss shade to Federal Standard 595 standard, number 36251, from the C line. Thinned with thinner made for this line.
Responsibility details are not available.
A medium gray listed in the American Federal Standard 595 standard under number 36251. The standard number is more precise than the shade's name, since naming varies between manufacturers, while the number can be relied on. The finish is semi-gloss, that is, between matte and gloss.
This is a paint from Gunze Mr.Color's C line. The thinner and thinning ratio follow the manufacturer's instructions on the package; always use thinner made for this line. The cured layer is hard and thin, so it does not fill in fine engraving, and it holds up well under masking and further coats of varnish.
Stir the bottle contents thoroughly before each use. For spraying, thin the paint and lay down several light passes instead of one heavy coat; the tone then evens out and no buildup forms at the edges. Stick masks only onto a cured coat and peel them off slowly, at a shallow angle to the surface. When building a multi-tone camouflage scheme, start with the lighter shade and lay the darker one over it, so transitions are easier to control. Always work with adequate ventilation.
Modelers of military equipment who mix a scheme by standard numbers and want a thin, durable coat will find this shade useful. Thinner, brushes and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
