An add-on armament set in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models. It combines high-explosive fragmentation bombs of the 100 kilogram class with a multiple ejector rack, so it gives a finished kit a complete bomb load at once. An aircraft model is not included in the package.
The OFAB-100-120 is a Soviet high-explosive fragmentation bomb of the one hundred kilogram class with an actual weight of about one hundred twenty kilograms, meant against troops and lightly protected equipment. Bombs of this size were hung several at a time on multiple ejector racks, so a single hardpoint on the aircraft lifted several weapons. It is exactly this combination that ranked among the most common loads of the tactical units of the Soviet Air Force.
The parts are printed from photopolymer, so thin print supports are left on them. Cut them away with a sharp scalpel or photo-etch nippers and sand the pad they leave with fine abrasive paper. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue, because polystyrene cement has no effect on this material. Lay down a filler primer before painting; it will at the same time reveal any remains of the supports. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
